"Flower Carnival" : Over 20 flower-covered floats
parade through the city on Saturday morning. Beauty Contests flower
exhibitions, cultural performances at Buag Haad City Park &

"Songkran" : All are fair game in this contest
of water throwing to celebrate the Thai New Year from April 10 to
15 . Be sure to wear your quickest-drying clothes to all the parades,
beauty contest and cultural shows schedualed also.
"Loy Krathong Festival" : Most charming of all
Thai festivals; the custom of placing handmade floats decorated
with flowers and candles on waterways goes back over 700 years to
the Sukhothai period. In the North "Yee Peng" is celebrated
for two nights under the full moon, as the moon rises on the second
night, a procession of beatiful maidens and floats parade through
the city of Chiagmai to the Mae Ping River. Book early for tablet
